The George Washington University Center for Interfaith and Spiritual Life invites applications for the Interfaith Spiritual and Religious Leadership Fellows Program,  leadership development opportunity for undergraduate students interested in exploring vocation, leadership, service, and the role of faith and spirituality in the public sphere.

Through mentorship, community engaged learning, retreats, and cohort-based reflection, Fellows will deepen their understanding of religious and spiritual leadership while gaining hands-on experience with faith-based and interfaith organizations throughout the Washington, D.C. region.

Fellows will:

Participate in monthly cohort seminars focused on leadership, vocation, and interfaith engagement.
Attend opening and closing retreats.
Complete a site-based fellowship placement with a local faith, spiritual, or service organization.
Receive mentorship from experienced religious and community leaders.
Engage in vocational reflection and leadership development.
Design and complete a capstone project connected to their placement experience.
Join a cohort of student leaders committed to building understanding across differences.
Fellows receive a stipend of $2,500 for successful completion of the program.

The program is open to students from all religious, spiritual, secular, philosophical backgrounds, and socio-economic. Students do not need to be preparing for professional ministry or religious leadership careers. We welcome students who are interested in exploring how values, meaning, purpose, and service can shape their lives and future work.

The fellowship runs from January through April.

Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled GW undergraduate students. Students may participate in only one CISL fellowship program per academic year and are not eligible to apply if they are participating in another CISL fellowship during the same academic year.
